Magnetic Field Analysis and Performance Optimization of Dual-Rotor Hybrid Excitation Generator for Automobile

Aiming at the current problems of low excitation efficiency and poor reliability single-rotor hybrid generators, large axial length dual-rotor structure, difficulty in magnetic field analysis, a new type generator topology with high power density is proposed, two rotors side-by-side coaxial, sharing set armature windings, fields do not interfere each other, so analysis optimization can be carried out separately. The distribution permanent magnet (PM) claw pole rotor analyzed by joint application equivalent circuit method network method, which ensures simplicity calculation improves accuracy. multi-objective key structural parameters based on Latin hypercube sampling–Pareto frontier solution method. subdomain improved segmented equivalence, unique salient-pole obtained, used particle swarm algorithm. trial prototype was experimental, results showed that output characteristics optimized were significantly improved, overall performance improved.
